A special conference in Liverpool on 4 December looking at opportunities for the North to lead the UK’s clean growth journey will explore the biggest new developments in the North West.
The event will feature innovators and industry leaders speaking about their plans and what they mean for the regional supply chain, focusing on how energy is generated, distributed and consumed in the region.
Some of the North West’s energy ‘mega-users’ will explain their predictions for the future and how they are ensuring security of supply.
The opening address will be given by Richard Carter, managing director for UK and Ireland at chemicals giant BASF and chair of the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT), which is leading the drive to establish the UK’s first ‘Low Carbon Industrial Cluster’ in the North West.
Other speakers will include Dr Ben Todd of Arcola Energy, which is currently working to deliver zero emission hydrogen buses in the Liverpool City Region.
Attendees will also hear about the support available across the region and were local authorities are playing leading roles in driving forward local energy strategies to deal with the climate emergency.
The conference will take place at the Liverpool Marriot on 4 December. To register for free, click here.
