Chemicals Northwest, in conjunction with the Centre of Excellence in Biocatalysis, Biotransformations and Biocatalytic manufacture (CoEBio3), is running an awareness session about industrial biotechnology and how its application could benefit your business.
A number of companies are switching to using biotechnology for the long term sustainability of their business. It is an opportunity to make a step change in process improvement or new product development.
Industrial biotechnology is receiving a lot of Government support and therefore funding is available to allow companies to test the feasibility and develop the processes involved in this change.
The event will be of interest to business development managers in the food, chemical, plastics, polymer, flavour and fragrance, cosmetics and materials processing industries.
The half-day event includes an introduction to industrial biotechnology for beginners, information on the benefits of industrial biotechnology implementation, information on funding and networking opportunities.
There will be an opportunity for a short tour of the CoEBio3 laboratories after the seminar.
The event will be taking place at 1.30pm on Thursday 8th October 2009, at the Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre, Manchester.
