Bri-Tek Technologies, an LED lighting company based in Bolton, is working with the Business Growth Hub to boost sales and achieve growth in Greater Manchester’s low carbon sector.
Bri-Tek offers the full spectrum of low carbon lighting solutions across commercial, industrial and domestic sectors, covering design, specification, installation and maintenance.
Founded in 2010, the company aims to capitalise on rapid growth over the next five years as LEDs and other emerging low carbon and low energy lighting technologies take hold in global markets.
The Hub’s low carbon sector support is specifically designed to help companies like Bri-Tek tap into Greater Manchester’s plans to transition to a low carbon economy and increase their exposure to local market opportunities.
With the Hub's support, Bri-Tek has developed a robust and effective environmental policy, received advice on commercial tender opportunities and is a member of the Hub’s Low Carbon Network – a virtual network that shares business opportunities and raises the profile of members in local supply chains.
The Hub has also helped to provide funding for Bri-Tek to undertake an online marketing campaign through its digital team and advice from access to finance specialists on how to access new funding streams.
Low carbon sector, innovation and business growth advisors at the Hub are now helping Bri-Tek to launching to market a newly developed product: an innovative universal emergency battery for LED lighting.
The exciting product is the first of its kind on the market and greatly improves energy efficiency, installation time and maintenance costs for emergency back-up lighting.
Mo Hanslod, chief executive of Bri-Tek, said: “The best thing about working with the Business Growth Hub is that they identify, not just what legislation is in place which will help us grow as a business, but what business opportunities there are out there.”
“The Business Growth Hub has provided excellent support in helping my business to grow and meet our development ambitions in Greater Manchester’s low carbon sector and beyond. We continue to receive expert support with launching our recent innovation to the market place.”
Tom Bardwell, low carbon sector advisor at the Hub, said: “Ever since we started working with Bri-Tek they have consistently shown great entrepreneurial and innovative flare.
“Mo Hanslod continues to drive the business forward with a genuine interest in designing and supplying ever-more energy-efficient and low-carbon products. There is no doubt about the longevity of the company and its bright future.”
