The company specialises in a number of energy-reducing low carbon technologies, including solar PV, heat pumps, LED lighting and biomass energy, providing a total solutions service from design and installation to maintenance and finance.
Energy Gain UK is also one of the few companies in its sector with an in-house R&D test facility, where the latest low carbon products can be assessed and developed.
Since meeting a low carbon sector advisor from the Green Growth service in August 2014, Energy Gain UK has received expert support to help it increase sales and improve its digital presence.
In particular, the company has benefitted from market intelligence on current solar PV opportunities in Greater Manchester and detailed support and application advice for tender opportunities with local authorities.
Energy Gain UK was also given the opportunity to promote its services to some 50 delegates at the Business Growth Hub’s recent low carbon Meet the Supplier event.
In total, this support has generated potential sales revenues of over £200,000 to date.
To expand its presence across the Greater Manchester region and beyond, Energy Gain UK has also received funding from the Green Growth service to develop social media promotion and a new interactive website.
As part of this work, the company has been introduced to two other business support services: The Skills Company (formerly Skills Solutions), to help with apprenticeship support in digital and social media; and Access to Finance, to help raise finance to expand the business.
Adam Swainbank, Green Growth low carbon sector advisor, said: “The Business Growth Hub has been able to support Energy Gain UK with a range of services to help it grow and expand.
“I have been able to link them to a number of low carbon opportunities and provide ongoing business development support.”
Craig Jones, director of Energy Gain UK, said: “The Business Growth Hub’s Green Growth team has been a great asset to our business – I would highly recommend it to other professionals in the low carbon and environmental sector.
“As we continue to grow, we’re looking forward to further support to help us implement a quality and environmental management system which will take us to the next stage in our business development.”
